From an early age the young Bourke was drawn to the haunting lyrical beauty of Cohen’s work and remembers being completely hooked after his first stage appearance performing ‘One of Us Cannot Be Wrong’ at a school fundraiser.

 

Bourke will be performing a selection of the bard’s most loved classics, infusing them with his own special brand of loss and longing, as he too grapples with the weight of existential questions and channels the emotion through his inimitable ‘Cohenesque rasp’ that is ‘full of music and emotion........’ Brian Merriman.
